a heavy fabric embroidered with stars and beasts | F |
you stroll inspecting the trustworthy seems | G |

Short is your stay here | H |
now and then at a matinal hour if the sky is clear | I |
in a melody repeated by a bird | J |
or in the smell of apples at close of day | K |
when the light makes the orchards magic | L |

They say somebody has invented you | C |
but to me this does not sound convincing | M |
for the humans invented themselves as well | N |

The voice no doubt it is a valid proof | O |
as it can belong only to radiant creatures | D |
weightless and winged after all why not | P |
girdled with the lightening | M |

I have heard that voice many a time when asleep | Q |
and what is strange I understood more or less | R |
an order or an appeal in an unearthly tongue | S |
