'the Yellow Tailed Thornbill' Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBDB EEFGGF F GGHGGH H AAIJJI I

I'm a fussy little fellowA
In my kilt of glowing yellowA
As about the garden ways I bow and bendB
Many a melody I bring youC
In the soft gay songs I sing youC
With a cheery little grace note at the endB
'Chip chip 'D
Oh I never miss that grace note at the endB
-
Summer into autumn passesE
And among the rippening grassesE
'Mid the midges goodly provender I gainF
Little for your presence caringG
Confident and greatly daringG
I will charn you with a sudden sweet refrainF
'Chip chip '-
Oh a very soft yet valiant refrainF
-
When the time has come for nestingG
Our sagacity attestingG
We erect a neat twin chambered bow'r of loveH
Mother in the nursery sleepingG
With the babes while sentry keepingG
Father has his parlor bedroom up aboveH
'Chip chip '-
Oh it's cosier and quieter aboveH
-
In my kilt of golden yellowA
I'm a friendly little fellowA
And my spangled sable crown I proudly bearI
Tho' my way be meek and lowlyJ
I can capture win you whollyJ
If you'll listen to this cheerful little airI
'Chip chip '-
Oh I'll charm you with my cheerful little airI
