The Drama Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDD EFEFGG HIHIJJ KLKMNO

Ah well the thing that lived lives onA
And who are we to say it nayB
When Vandal and when Goth had goneC
Long long beyond great Caesar's dayB
The Arts that sought for heights sublimeD
Still scaled Olympus scorning timeD
-
And we who tread this little earthE
Seeking for profit or for fameF
And count one life's poor efforts worthE
The meed of all the world's acclaimF
How do we count What do we bringG
To earth's great final reckoningG
-
Oh are we not as little boysH
Striving to conquer sea and airI
Playing a while with futile toysH
To fight the bogey of despairI
While in the end invention's lureJ
Finds us relief but never cureJ
-
Invention Men may late or soonK
Thro' high ambition's urge aspireL
And so aspiring win the boonK
Of great and ultimate desireM
But art Or talkies Nothing lothN
I'm game to own there's room for bothO
