Preface: Old Gosh Rhyme Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDDDD

Let him who is minded to meet with a GlugA
Pluck three hardy hairs from a rabbit skin rugA
Blow one to the South and one to the WestB
Then burn another and swallow the restB
And who shall explain 'tis the talk of a foolC
He's a Glug He's a Glug of the old Gosh schoolC
And he'll climb a tree if the East wind blowsD
In a casual way just to show he knowsD
Now tickle his toesD
Oh tickle his toesD
And don't blame me if you come to blowsD
