Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDCABEFFGABFHHFBA IHHIABJDDJ ABFCCF

Candidly I do not hug aA
Wish to go to Mugga MuggaB
To the Mugga Mugga Mountain by Yassberra's desert placeC
Where they're planning more's the pityD
To erect Australia's cityD
To upraise a drouthy city monument to our disgraceC
'Tis proposed that we shall lug aA
Myriad pipes to Mugga MuggaB
Water pipes to get the wetness to the city's thirsty crowdE
Water to ablute and bathe inF
Nay The language will be scathin'F
When the Mugga mugs discover 'NOTICE BATHING NOT ALLOWED 'G
Wearily with jar or jug aA
Citizen at Mugga MuggaB
Will await his turn for water wait with bucket billy canF
Kerosene tin any vesselH
That the Cotter's muddy mess'llH
Safely keep in the weepin' of the Mugga Mugga manF
I can see a future MuggB
Resident arise and tug aA
Show'r bath chain without result then curse aloud and thirst for bloodI
Curse the crawling Cotter trickleH
For he will be in a pickleH
When the Cotter isn't cotting and Molongolo's mostly mudI
I've a yearn within to plug aA
Jaw whenever Mugga MuggaB
Mountain's mentioned in my hearing for it makes me very soreJ
When I realise DalgetyD
Was thrown over for the pettyD
Claims of parish politicians I'm inclined to raze for goreJ
-
I'd rejoice if someone dug aA
Deep wide grave at Mugga MuggaB
And interred all Canberranters minus service sob or stoneF
All nefarious State FrightersC
Yassinine old nation blightersC
Nay I'd lug a Mugga fighter there and plant him on my ownF
