Matriarchy's coming fastA
Matriarchy's hereB
Man's supremacy at lastA
Finds the end is nearC
Since the days of troglodytesD
Man the lord and masterE
Sees his olden cherished rightsD
Slipping fast and fasterE
-
Daddy has no time to roamF
The household bills he's clearingG
Mummy's left four kids at homeF
And gone electioneeringG
Mummy holds a sacred trustH
To talk the public dizzyD
Daddy has to earn a crustH
And gosh it keeps him busyD
-
Once a chattel and a slaveI
We grabbed her by her hairJ
And flung her in our private caveI
To do our cooking thereJ
But since her olden bonds were loosedK
More liberty she's cravingG
And lovely woman rules the roostK
While mankind does the slavingG
-
Marriage is a full time jobL
For Daddy ever toilingG
He has to work the poor old swabL
To keep the pot a boilingG
But Mummy has the time to spareJ
To right a stricken nationM
Oh cares Oh clubs Oh flowing hairJ
This is emancipationM
