Lines Written In Hospital Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEAA FAFAGG HIHIJ

Upon a snowy bed I lieA
Too placid to complainB
And watch the mad world rushing byA
Beyond my window paneB
The traffic threading in and outC
And wonder what it's all aboutC
-
I watch the loaded tramcars streamD
By dozens into townE
With men each thinking of some schemeD
To take his neighbour downE
Each woman wond'ring what she'll buyA
At Frill and Fluffum's bye and byeA
-
Down in the street I hear the talkF
Of people passing byA
They chatter chatter as they walkF
Of all thins 'neath the skyA
Of trade of sport of foolish thingsG
That lack of clear reflection bringsG
-
Placid I said I was but noH
For all this seems to meI
This madly rushing to and froH
Just sheer futilityI
And as I choke with rising wrathJ
The nurse says 'Time to take your broth '-
