'ksmith' Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC CCDDEE CCFFGG HIJJKK

Hoping you will not deem it rudeA
I'd like to call an interludeA
In our remarkable arrayB
Of leading statesmen of the dayB
And introduce to you forthwithC
That great economist KsmithC
-
Not as you might suppose a mythC
But very real is KsmithC
For daily in the morning trainD
I'm privileged to gauge his brainD
One glance inside his morning sheetE
And he has grasped it all completeE
-
He lays it down and then in wrathC
To patient travellers he holds forthC
No question that the times involveF
No problem is there he can't solveF
One moment's thought and quick as lightG
Ksmith can put the country rightG
-
Surely a statesman's wasted hereH
And I suggest in nervous fearI
That we might move to elevateJ
Ksmith on high to guide the StateJ
Then we'd be saved And I might seeK
Less of Ksmith That would suit meK
