Golden Silence Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCB DDEFFE GGHAAH DDIJJI

A word out of seasonA
Of vapid unreasonA
May seem mere political twaddle at bestB
But this thing needs abatementC
If with each wild statementC
It mean's that a cool quarter million's gone WestB
-
-
What millions are pouringD
While raving and roaringD
Not only John Lang but a dozen or moreE
Political brothersF
Outshouting the othersF
With rhetoric costly are taking the floorE
-
-
In mood apatheticG
We hear energeticG
But futile economists voicing their viewsH
And little attentionA
We give the dissensionA
Until we awoke to this dread bit of newsH
-
Now what are we payingD
For all this dull brayingD
Beyond computation the vast millions heapI
Till we're yearing to shackleJ
This mad costly cackleJ
With curses for him who said talking was cheapI
