'fathercraft' Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDBFG HCHCII

Well said the small meek man we look for changeA
In this sad world for these are stirring daysB
And men pin hopes to methods new and strangeA
And see lost happiness thro' altered waysB
And I who many a bitter cup have quaffedC
Hailed with delight this cult of FathercraftC
-
But said the small meek man I've scanned the rulesD
And studied well all that this author saysE
Oh I have pinned such faith to modern schoolsD
Hoping one day to see a great light blazeB
And now it seems I'm rather at a lossF
For all I glean is that the wife should be bossG
-
If said the small meek man yielding one's payH
Yielding one's will seems new to FathercraftC
And letting woman have her own sweet wayH
Then said the small meek man the author's daftC
I had such hopes But far as I can seeI
Things go on in the same old way Ah meI
