Or legislators heaven sent | B |
But the A L P for all atones | A |
When it gets them into Parliament | C |
Tho' they talk sheer drivel once they're there | D |
Our job is done Why should we care | D |

They may be mild or they may be reds | A |
Or 'has beens' who have missed the bus | A |
But the simple job of counting heads | A |
Is all that matters much to us | A |
And the job we do with wondrous ease | A |
Is the mas production of M P's | A |

So why blame us in peevish gloom | E |
And charge us with this grievous sin | F |
They may involve the land in doom | E |
But our job's done we've got 'em in | F |
As from the pod come peas all green | G |
We turn 'em out with our machine | G |

They may be robots built with care | D |
Or silly sheep or crazy goats | A |
But once they're tied and branded there | D |
They art no longer men but votes | A |
Thus we our glorious aim achieve | H |
And triumph tho' the nation grieve | H |
