The Anzac Beach staring with lifeless eyes | F |
Where carrier pigeons white against the blue | D |
Bore the dread tale for other skies they knew | D |

The long monotony of Mudros Bay | B |
Like hounds released the eager shouting men | G |
Crowded the decks and whiled the time away | B |
At cards half fearing what they most desired | H |
Might be denied them yet and no shot fired | H |

Who counted one day more or one day less | J |
How many deemed it was for them the last | I |
To light a world of blood and bitterness | K |
