Aha Beware I know your guilty pastA
I was a witness of that secret crimeB
One word and all your fondest hopes I blastA
I bide me timeB
I hold you in me grip unhappy manC
And I shall cr r rush you if you thwart me planC
-
Hist Have a care lest I divulge the plotD
I saw you forge the will With these two eyesE
I recognised the corpse and know the spotD
Where it now liesE
I know the hand that sped the fatal blowF
And stole the widder's che ild Aha I knowF
-
Be warned Seek not to sully my fair fameG
Who stole the papers Ah Then have a careH
The man that pawned the spoons I know his nameG
And I'm awareH
Who lured the girl aboard the lugger AyeI
All all is known to me for I was nighI
-
I know who shook the fowls Then do not seekJ
To try my patience over much for loF
You're doomed if but one little word I speakJ
For well I knowF
Who killed the dog and set the house alightK
And robbed the clothes line at the dead o' nightK
-
Remember All your secrets I could tellL
To me your cupboard doors are all ajarM
Each hidden skeleton I know full wellL
Push me too farM
And I shall tell the world who dodged his rentN
And privately ate sausages in LentN
-
'Twas I that lurked unseen within your lairH
'Twas I that overheard the villain's plotD
I saw you filch the marriage lines BewareH
I heard the shotD
How little you suspected who was byI
When you purloined the jools Aha 'Twas II
-
You cannot hide your covert crimes from meO
To me your private life's an open bookP
Then do not cross my path or suddenlyO
One word One lookP
And all your guilty past the world shall knowF
And to the dust your pride be humbled lowF
-
My mind is the receptacle for allQ
The peccadilloes of mine enemiesR
I hold them sternly at my beck and callQ
Just as I pleaseR
And it was I who hid in that dark laneS
And heard them plan the wrecking of the trainS
-
Hist If you speak one word all all is lostT
Once thwart my will and lo your doom I sealU
Eye you frustrate my plans count well the costV
I shall revealU
Your sin and on you heap anathemaW
Hist We shall meet again Farewell AhaX
