Rhyme Scheme: ABCCBDD EFGGFHH EGGGGDD AIGGIDD DJIIJDD KLGGLDD

Have you heard the inscrutable mutable AlfA
The mannerly man with the silvery tongueB
Ever loquaciousC
Smiling and graciousC
Loud in the land have his praises been sungB
He has magnetised all with his eloquent speakin'D
The Great oratorical oracle DeakinD
-
His somewhat sporadical radical speechesE
Have over persuaded us all and his styleF
His easy urbanityG
Tickles our vanityG
And we are won by his affable smileF
He captivates all with his eloquence sinisterH
Does the persuasive evasive Prime MinisterH
-
His fine pyrotechnical technical phrasesE
His grand perorations exordiums tooG
'Spite their obscurityG
Are of a purityG
And of a quality equalled by fewG
And he knows all the tricks of portfol i o seekin'D
That clever illusionist fusionist DeakinD
-
But beware of mysterious serious AlfA
His weird cabalistical mystical callI
His impetuosityG
Plus his verbosityG
Acts like a strange anaesthetic on allI
But when you get over the charm of his speakin'D
You'll come to a frangible tangible DeakinD
-
You'll find an accessible cessible manD
With political frailties many as most o' themJ
'Spite his euphonicalI
Gifts histrionicalI
Critics political point to a host o' themJ
He is but a man after all and a weak 'unD
A most inexcusable fusible DeakinD
-
His most omnifarious various viewsK
He'll alter to suit the occasion that pays himL
Though lacking in clarityG
Any disparityG
In his fused following's powerless to daze himL
Regarded apart from his eloquent speakin'D
O what a lamentable rentable DeakinD
