Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBDDEEFGFHHIIJJK KFFGGLLLLMMNNOOLLPLL QRGR

GirlsA
You with the bobbed hair or Mary Pickford curlsA
Likewise you othersB
Who still adopt the hair dressing styleC
That makes the moderns smileC
But was undoubtedly the dearest attribute of your mothersB
And by the byD
You with the glad eyeD
We've seen you in the streetE
Looking particularly sweetE
And we ask youF
Do you think that those girls in the city that is reputed to possess a harborG
can overtask youF
In the matter of looking niceH
We do not seek to give adviceH
And frankly we don't knowI
We have seen both types and soI
Being diplomaticJ
We refrain from expressing an opinion that is too emphaticJ
We'll leave it to the voteK
Yet hasten to remark that we simply doteK
Upon the maiden whoF
Is just like youF
Fair readerG
We seek not to assume the office or prerogative of a special pleaderG
And we own that this question of State RightsL
Gives us uneasy dreams o' nightsL
Take no notice of those churlsL
Who tell you that the Sydney girlsL
Can put it all over you in regard to female beautyM
My dears you have a dutyM
At any rateN
Toward your StateN
Go inO
And WinO
Among you are undoubtedly quite a number of perfect peachesL
And the sirens of the Sydney beachesL
May yet be proved to be not exactly the pick of the basketP
GirlsL
With or without curlsL
The honor of your State and the noble men therein ask itQ
Here I concludeR
And I trust that these few well chosen remarks have not been in bad taste orG
over rudeR
