Friendship Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEF GBHI JKBL BJMB

On board a ship the sun shines to full and the moon the billion stars shine not to fullA
Sailing high and low and smoothly safe amidst the turbulent snaps of waves and typhoon strikesB
As I lay in bed a smile in my lips and a peaceful mind indeedC
-
-
I see to full the extensive distances of the east from the west or of the north from the southD
I filled to brim my eyes with the dazzling water of the wide ocean beyond and I complained with the shattering breeze of the wind and the air breaking hard my nose into the insideE
So I started to get bored and wish to see soon again my own feet walking in the groundF
-
-
The ship once I board into is an acquaintance into the worldG
A bridge of our own time from the long days of yesteryear'sB
We sailed together and moved backward apart towards each's own destinyH
We laughed together many times our hands together under each own blue moonI
-
The water is so dazzling my eyes seemed blinded at the sightJ
A momentous blink and a gentle tap of my own hand I need this timeK
And heart to sense not the sweetness of innocence but the real hue behind the glistening watersB
Or of the beautiful rainbow that comes out only when raindrops veil against the marvelous sunL
-
-
Oh there is real beauty behind every beast casting before thy eyesB
Or there seemed a beast hiding within the most virtuous sightJ
I know not until thy heart s wit tainted to a mundane hueM
A camouflage to unveil the beast behind and a spell to hurl spirits of pure heartsB
