To A Sea-bird Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAAB CBCCB DBEDB FBFFB

Sauntering hither on listless wingsA
Careless vagabond of the seaB
Little thou heedest the surf that singsA
The bar that thunders the shale that ringsA
Give me to keep thy companyB
-
Little thou hast old friend that's newC
Storms and wrecks are old things to theeB
Sick am I of these changes tooC
Little to care for little to rueC
I on the shore and thou on the seaB
-
All of thy wanderings far and nearD
Bring thee at last to shore and meB
All of my journeyings end them hereE
This our tether must be our cheerD
I on the shore and thou on the seaB
-
Lazily rocking on ocean's breastF
Something in common old friend have weB
Thou on the shingle seek'st thy nestF
I to the waters look for restF
I on the shore and thou on the seaB
