Fate Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCBB DDEE

The sky is clouded the rocks are bareA
The spray of the tempest is white in airA
The winds are out with the waves at playB
And I shall not tempt the sea to dayB
-
The trail is narrow the wood is dimC
The panther clings to the arching limbC
And the lion's whelps are abroad at playB
And I shall not join in the chase to dayB
-
But the ship sailed safely over the seaD
And the hunters came from the chase in gleeD
And the town that was builded upon a rockE
Was swallowed up in the earthquake shockE
