The Noisy Silence Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDDEFGD HFIJFFHF KLMDF

Quiet as you areA
Your silence roars in my earsB
With my eyes closedC
Dreams bring you to meD
Far away you might beD
But my thoughts bring you close to meD
Your memory fades notE
Your grave reminds me of youF
You are silentG
And this silence is Noisy for meD
-
Life has lost its meaningH
Without youF
I am drowned in my own thoughtsI
I hate looking at the moonJ
For it reminds me of youF
I hate the sun tooF
For it is the only thingH
That compares to youF
-
Silence haunts my nightsK
Cold winds share my bedsideL
Am sick and tired of this silenceM
For it is starting to haunt meD
Reminding me of my life without youF

Poet's note: Cancer claimed half of my family, I lost my sister Apolot Barbra to leukemia, my grandma Teddy to cancer of the colon and my brother DMC Martin Opolot to the same disease! I couldn't handle their absence and silence. I wrote this poem down in 2015 to eulogise them. May their souls rest in peace. I will forever miss them.
