The North Window: Bamboo And Rock Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CD EF CG CH IJ

A magisterial rock windswept and pureA
and a few bamboo so lavish and greenB
-
facing me they seem full of sincerityC
I gaze into them and can't get enoughD
-
and there's more at the north windowE
and along the path beside West PondF
-
wind sowing bamboo clarities aplentyC
rain gracing the subtle greens of mossG
-
My wife's still here frail and old as meC
but no one else the children are goneH
-
Leave the window open If you close itI
who'll keep us company for the nightJ
