Fishing In The Wei River Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLDMNOPF

In waters still as a burnished mirror's faceA
In the depths of Wei carp and grayling swimB
Idly I come with my bamboo fishing rodC
And hang my hook by the banks of Wei streamD
A gentle wind blows on my fishing gearE
Softly shaking my ten feet of lineF
Though my body sits waiting for fish to comeG
My heart has wandered to the Land of NothingnessH
Long ago a white headed manI
Also fished at the same river's sideJ
A hooker of men not a hooker of fishK
At seventy years he caught Wen WangL
But I when I come to cast my hook in the streamD
Have no thought either of fish or menM
Lacking the skill to capture either preyN
I can only bask in the autumn water's lightO
When I tire of this my fishing also stopsP
I go to my home and drink my cup of wineF
