After Passing The Examination Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKL

For ten years I never left my booksA
I went up and won unmerited praiseB
My high place I do not much prizeC
The joy of my parents will first make me proudD
Fellow students six or seven menE
See me off as I leave the City gateF
My covered couch is ready to drive awayG
Flutes and strings blend their parting tuneH
Hopes achieved dull the pains of partingI
Fumes of wine shorten the long roadJ
Shod with wings is the horse of him who ridesK
On a Spring day the road that leads to homeL
