When I from a tedious day | B |
Escaped | C |
With eyes blurred | D |
And body bent on sleep | E |

My stolid body to this slum | F |
Propel | G |
Whilst my feet hath many greeting known | H |
Carbon combustion clap me welcome | F |
With sounds like caterpillar raid | I |
My sleep from me fled | J |

On days when the sun is high | K |
And my eyes too week in the sun | L |
To my baking hut my mind to mine | M |
There Comes the school children | L |
Dismissed on a sudden recess | N |

On grounds their feeble brain | O |
Could scarce retain | O |
Their songs like a military parade | I |
Ravaging the resources from within | P |

Thus am I daily plagued | Q |
And I have been the grass | R |
Suffering the cold blooded war | S |

Yes the goat that eats the grass | R |
But must go a sour teeth for the DOGS | T |

Poet's note: The poem describes the low infrastructure in the giant West-African country. Survival to the citizens become a daily struggle. The citizens lack of the well deserved social amenities is all around ranging from road network, power supply and even education. Living in Nigeria and surviving is the hardest occupation.
