Some are imprisoned, some are free, but none are truly liberated,
The decrees of this world, O Lord, are hard to comprehend, fated.
Some laugh, some cry; happiness does not embrace all,
Why must tears fall from the children of this same earth’s call?
Born in the palace, one becomes a prince by birthright,
Born in a humble home, one bows, deprived of might.
No one is barred from the air and light, a shared domain,
Then who sets these endless boundaries that cause such pain?
Who claims it all, building fortresses in their reign?
Here and there, demons spread their wings in disdain,
Proclaiming all as theirs, they deceive without refrain,
Snatching food from the hungry, leaving hearts in chain.
Some indulge in the pleasures of rain, while others drown,
Some are lost in the sea, others find the shore’s renown.
What loss would befall the world if joy were equally spread?
Why can’t one earth cradle all in comfort instead?
I seek equality—a harmony of joy, forgetting sorrow’s thread,
Yet equality seems veiled beneath this world’s shroud, unread.
Some find warmth in winter’s frost, while others die in its chill,
This world offers no equal shelter, no universal will.
Some bask in the sun’s glow, while others burn to ashes still,
The shade of this earth fails to soothe every soul it fills.
May eternal spring descend, for all to equally embrace,
I dream of a humane world—this is my poetic space.
