Four skiffs are out on the moonlit stream | D |

While girlish laughter peal on peal | J |
Rings over the river and over the shore | L |
And from the island the echoes roll | I |
We hear the mysterious voice again | M |
We have won we have won | N |

Go And we bend to our oars once more | L |

The moon is sinking low | G |
The race is ours across the wave | U |
We call but nothing answers save | U |
The winds that gently blow | G |
Come race again But all in vain | S |
The silvery voice is still | T |
