A Child's Kiss Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGFG HIHJ

Sweet is the maiden's kiss that tellsA
The secret of her heartB
Holy the wife's yet in them dwellsA
Of earthliness a partB
-
While in a little child's warm kissC
Is naught but heaven aboveD
So sweet it is so pure it isE
So full of faith and loveD
-
'Tis like a violet in MayF
That knows nor fear nor harmG
But cheers the wanderer on his wayF
With its unconscious charmG
-
'Tis like a bird that carols freeH
And thinks not of rewardI
But gives the world its melodyH
Because it is a bardJ
