The man cut his throat and left his head thereA
The others went to get itB
When they got there they put the head in a sackC
Farther on the head fell out onto the groundD
They put the head back in the sackC
Farther on the head fell out againE
Around the first sack they put a second one thatF
was thickerG
But the head fell out just the sameH
It should be explained that they were taking the headI
to show to the othersJ
They did not put the head back in the sackC
They left it in the middle of the roadK
They went awayL
-
They crossed the riverG
But the head followed themM
They climbed up a tree full of fruitN
to see whether it would go pastO
-
The head stopped at the foot of the treeP
and asked them for some fruitN
So the men shook the treeP
The head went to get the fruitN
Then it asked for some moreQ
-
So the men shook the treeP
so that the fruit fell into the waterG
The head said it couldn't get the fruit from thereA
So the men threw the fruit a long wayL
to make the head go a long way to get it so they could goR
While the head was getting the fruitN
the men got down from the tree and went onS
-
The head came back and looked at the treeP
and didn't see anybodyP
so went on rolling down the roadK
-
The men had stopped to waitT
to see whether the head would follow themM
They saw the head come rollingU
-
They ranV
They got to their hut they told the others that the headI
was rolling after them and to shut the doorQ
-
All the huts were closed tightW
When it got there the head commanded them to open the doorsX
The owners would not open them because they were afraidY
-
So the head started to think what it would turn intoZ
If it turned into water they would drink itB
If it turned into earth they would walk on itB
If it turned into a house they would live in itB
If it turned into a steer they would kill it and eat itB
If it turned into a cow they would milk itB
If it turned into a bean they would cook itB
If it turned into the sunA2
When men were cold it would heat themM
If it turned into rain the grass would grow and theB2
animals would crop itB
-
So it thought and it said I will turn into the moonC2
It called Open the doors I want to get my thingsD2
They would not open themM
-
The head cried It called out At least give meP
my two balls of twineE2
They threw out the two balls of twine through a holeF2
It took them and threw them into the skyG2
-
It asked them to throw it a little stick tooZ
to roll the thread around so it could climb upH2
-
Then it said I can climb I am going to the skyG2
It started to climbI2
-
The men opened the doors right awayL
The head went on climbingU
The men shouted You going to the sky headI
It didn't answerG
