Lusty May Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABAB BBBBB CCBCB DDBDB

O Lusty May with Flora queenA
The balmy dropis from Phoebus sheenA
Preluciand beams before the dayB
By that Diana growis greenA
Through gladness of this lusty MayB
-
Then Esperus that is so brichtB
Til woful hairtis castis his lightB
With bankis that bloomis on every braeB
And schouris are shed forth of their sichtB
Through gladness of this lusty MayB
-
Birdis on bewis of every birthC
Rejoicing notis makand their mirthC
Richt plesantly upon the sprayB
With flourishingis o'er field and firthC
Through gladness of this lusty MayB
-
All luvaris that are in careD
To their ladies they do repairD
In fresh morningis before the dayB
And are in mirth ay mair and mairD
Through gladness of this lusty MayB
