A Busy Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHGH IJIJ BIBI IKIK LMLM

The bluff March wind set out from homeA
Before the peep of dayB
But nobody seemed to be glad he had comeC
And nobody asked him to stayB
-
Yet he dried up the snow banks far and nearD
And made the snow clouds rollE
Huddled up in a heap like driven sheepF
Way off to the cold North PoleE
-
He broke the ice on the river's backG
And floated it down the tideH
And the wild ducks came with a loud Quack quackG
To play in the waters wideH
-
He snatched the hat off Johnny's headI
And rolled it on and onJ
And oh what a merry chase it ledI
Little laughing and scampering JohnJ
-
He swung the tree where the squirrel layB
Too late in its winter bedI
And he seemed to say in his jolly wayB
Wake up little sleepy headI
-
He dried the yard so that Rob and TedI
Could play at marbles thereK
And he painted their cheeks a carmine redI
With the greatest skill and careK
-
He shook all the clothes lines one by oneL
What a busy time he hadM
But nobody thanked him for all he had doneL
Now wasn't that just too badM
