Woman s VoiceA
Perhaps you find the angel most improbableB
It spoke to men asleep their minds ajarC
For once to admit the entrance of a strangerD
Few have heard voices but all have made a journeyE
The mind moves desiring dedicationF
Desiring to lay its gifts as a dog its boneG
At the feet of the first creation 'Take it or leave it'H
Says pride 'You made it You must bear the blame 'I
But secretly the heart 'O make it good 'I
'Either God acts in vain or this is God 'I

O new creationF
Take my treasure and make me freeE

Death is a strong wish BalthasarD
Brings his desire in a gift of myrrhD
Seeking perfection in pain and cessationF
O new creationF
Die for me make me desire to liveN
-
All ThreeE
Mary who nourished glory on human kindnessO
By springs of power hidden from the mindH
Here is our small self knowledge nowP
Make it acceptable or teach us howP
-
MaryE
He will accept it never fearQ
For his audacity is my despairR
O do not give what he should not bearR
His boldness is beyond beliefS
His threats his lightnings his short griefS
Is it divine or mortal confidenceT
Mortal ignorance godlike innocenceT
Brazen he takes love as a rightH
He knows to demand is to give delightH
Youngling here we offer loveL
What have we to offer but loveL
And what is our love Greed and despairR
O do not take what you should not bearR
Or tainted love by true convinceU
Let us not harm you helpless PrinceU
Sin is the chance of mercyE
Then even sin contrives your greater gloryE
