Autumn Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEEB FFGHI

The raging colour of this cold FridayA
Eats up our patience like a fireB
Consumes our willingness to endureC
Here the crumpled maple a gold fabricD
The beech by beams empurpled the holy sycamoreE
Berries red hot the rose's coreE
The sun emboldens to burn in porphyry and amberB
-
Pick up the remnants of our resignationF
Where we left them and bring our loving passionF
Before the mist from the dark sea at our feetG
Where mushrooms cling like limpets in the grassH
Quenching our fierceness leaves us in a worse caseI
