A Dream Observed Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DAEA FGHG IJKL GMJM

Out from his bed the breaking seasA
By waking eyes unseenB
Now fall aquatic creatures whirlC
And he whirls through the ambient greenB
-
The sea lion and the scolopendraD
Lolling in sleep he seesA
Strange in their ways and the swift changesE
Their landscape makes from shells to treesA
-
Down English lanes a camel walksF
Or untrammelled fliesG
But I wakeful and watching seeH
How chilly out of the clothes he liesG
-
Easy an act to cover him warmI
Such a lover's small successJ
Like the heaped mind so humble in sleepK
But points our actual powerlessnessL
-
Monsters in dreams he sees yet liesG
At peace in his curling bedM
Blessings that outdo all distressJ
Implicit in his sleeping headM
