As A White Stone Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA BCDC AAAA

As a white stone in the well's cool deepnessA
There lays in me one wonderful remembranceA
I am not able and don't want to miss thisA
It is my torture and my utter gladnessA
-
I think that he whose look will be directedB
Into my eyes at once will see it wholeC
He will become more thoughtful and dejectedD
Than someone hearing a story of a doleC
-
I knew the gods turned once in their madnessA
Men into things not killing humane sensesA
You've been turned in to my reminiscencesA
To make eternal the unearthly sadnessA
