To Artemis'(hippol., Eurip., 73-87.) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBACB DCDCDE

For thee soft crowns in thine untrampled meadA
I wove my lady and to thee I bearB
Thither no shepherd drives his flocks to feedA
Nor scythe of steel has ever laboured thereB
Nay through the spring among the blossoms fairB
The brown bee comes and goes and with good heedA
Thy maiden Reverence sweet streams doth leadC
About the grassy close that is her careB
-
Souls only that are gracious and sereneD
By gift of God in human lore unreadC
May pluck these holy blooms and grasses greenD
That now I wreathe for thine immortal headC
I that may walk with thee thyself unseenD
And by thy whispered voice am comfortedE
