The Moon's Minion Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGCG HIHIGCGC

Thine eyes are like the sea my dearA
The wand'ring waters green and greyB
Thine eyes are wonderful and clearA
And deep and deadly even as theyB
The spirit of the changeful seaC
Informs thine eyes at night and noonD
She sways the tides and the heart of theeC
The mystic sad capricious MoonD
-
The Moon came down the shining stairE
Of clouds that fleck the summer skyF
She kissed thee saying 'Child be fairE
And madden men's hearts even as IF
Thou shalt love all things strange and sweetG
That know me and are known of meC
The lover thou shalt never meetG
The land where thou shalt never be '-
-
She held thee in her chill embraceH
She kissed thee with cold lips divineI
She left her pallor on thy faceH
That mystic ivory face of thineI
And now I sit beside thy feetG
And all my heart is far from theeC
Dreaming of her I shall not meetG
And of the land I shall not seeC
