An hear your Nourrice moanC
O moan ye for your meatD

Or moan ye for the ither bountiesF
That ladies are wont to gieG

I moan na for my meatD
Nor yet for my feeE
But I mourn for Christened landD
It's there I fain would beE

O nurse my bairn Nourice she saysH
Till he stan' at your kneeE
An' ye's win hame to Christen landD
Whar fain it's ye wad beE
-
O keep my bairn NouriceH
Till he gang by the hauldD
An' ye's win hame to your young sonC
Ye left in four nights auldD
