On Any Beach'by M. A. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCD EFEFGH DICIJJ

Yes in the stream and stress of thingsA
That breaks around us like the seaB
There comes to Peasants and to KingsA
The solemn Hour of JubileeB
If they till strenuous Nature giveC
Some fifty harvests chance to liveD
-
Ah Fifty harvests But the cornE
Is grown beside the barren mainF
Is salt with sea spray blown and borneE
Across the green unvintaged plainF
And life lived out for fifty yearsG
Is briny with the spray of tearsH
-
Ah such is Life to us that liveD
Here in the twilight of the GodsI
Who weigh each gift the world can giveC
And sigh and murmur What's the oddsI
So long's you're happy Nay what ManJ
Finds Happiness since Time beganJ
