Les Roses De Sâdi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBBBB

This morning I vowed I would bring thee my rosesA
They were thrust in the band that my bodice enclosesA
But the breast knots were broken the roses went freeB
The breast knots were broken the roses togetherC
Floated forth on the wings of the wind and the weatherC
And they drifted afar down the streams of the seaB
And the sea was as red as when sunset unclosesB
But my raiment is sweet from the scent of the rosesB
Thou shalt know love how fragrant a memory can beB
