To Remorse Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

MAGIC for fitful souls whose aim is stillA
Pleasures that forfeit not the mansions blestB
Who deem themselves absolved to approve the bestB
While they protesting hate pursue the illA
Who lack strength to attain or else lack willA
To keep what was their will's supreme behestB
Daring in dreams but fearful of the testB
When Time and Fate their dearest wish fulfilA
I will not taste of thy pale anodyneC
I will not alter listening to a voiceD
That tells me joys immortal may be mineC
Were I but traitor to my clearest choiceD
Courage I count above all gifts of thineC
Courage or to refrain or to rejoiceD
