In A School Chapel Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGG

THE clear young voices rise and soar 'Oh prayA
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem theyA
Shall prosper that love thee ' Yet each boy's heartB
Harbors the hope that he may have a partB
In war the roar of guns the roll of drumsC
Before this anthemed peace he prays for comesC
But in the quiet gallery aboveD
Where eyes grown dim look down on those they loveD
The prayer for peace rings true although in truthE
Worse things than death can come to eager youthE
But nothing worse can come to age than knowingF
That it is safe and boys are going goingF
Are going forth to war till all wars ceaseG
The old so safe and lonely pray for peaceG
