Which used to blind and limit all my life | B |
Weighs on me not since I have been your wife | B |
Death is the price of our felicity | A |
And life eternal would not leave us free | A |
To love each other thus setting above | C |
The grace of God a common human love | C |
Untouched unthreatened by any heaven to be | A |
For who while waiting to be crowned a king | D |
Can relish all the humble every day | E |
Who but must hasten when she sets a goal | F |
For me I could not make our life a thing | D |
So wise so real so tender and so gay | E |
Had I this other care to save my soul | F |
