Brandon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDECECFF

THE house is empty and the garden alleyA
A shadowed aisle of linden and of yewB
A marble vase a glimpse of river valleyA
Translucent white against transparent blueB
A mystery of boxwood and of bywayC
Beneath barred windows and unopened doorD
And far below the river like a highwayC
Sweeps on but brings no travelers any moreD
Beauty alone is constant where she choosesE
A dwelling place there would she ever stayC
Fortune and friends and fashion though it losesE
Beauty more faithful does not pass awayC
But most deserted most herself she seemsF
Left to her deep and solitary dreamsF
