A Bread And Butter Letter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

THERE is a willow grows beside a poolA
Its long gray branches sweep the marble rimB
And from those waters shadowy and coolA
The stars shine large and dimB
-
From open valleys filled with little lakesC
All through the night a hundred breezes blowD
All through the night the little willow makesC
A whispering soft and lowD
-
Here in the dusty street there are no treesE
To whisper and the sky is dark and grayF
And yet I see the stars I feel the breezeE
So far so far awayF
