The Tent Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CCDEED C

Only the stars endome the lonely campA
Only the desert leagues encompass itB
Waterless wastes a wilderness of witB
Embattled Cold Imagination's CrampA
Now were the Desolation fain to stampA
The congealed Spirit of man into the pitB
Save that unquenchable because unlitB
The Love of God burns steady like a LampA
-
It burns beyond the sands beyond the starsC
It burns beyond the bands beyond the barsC
And so the Expanse of Mystery veil by veilD
Burns inward plume on plume still folding overE
The dissolved heart of the amaz d loverE
The angel wings upon the Holy GrailD
-
W'aint t' AisshaC
