Hymn To Lucifer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEEE EFEFGHGII

Ware nor of good nor ill what aim hath actA
Without its climax death what savour hathB
Life an impeccable machine exactA
He paces an inane and pointless pathB
To glut brute appetites his sole contentC
How tedious were he fit to comprehendD
Himself More this our noble elementE
Of fire in nature love in spirit unkennedE
Life hath no spring no axle and no endE
-
His body a bloody ruby radiantE
With noble passion sun souled LuciferF
Swept through the dawn colossal swift aslantE
On Eden's imbecile perimeterF
He blessed nonentity with every curseG
And spiced with sorrow the dull soul of senseH
Breathed life into the sterile universeG
With Love and Knowledge drove out innocenceI
The Key of Joy is disobedienceI
