Dionysus Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGHIJIJ IGIGKGLGCHCHMNMNOGOG PBQB B

I bring ye wine from aboveA
From the vats of the storied sunB
For every one of yer loveA
And life for every oneB
Ye shall dance on hill and levelC
Ye shall sing in hollow and heightD
In the festal mystical revelC
The rapurous Bacchanal riteD
The rocks and trees are yoursE
And the waters under the hillF
By the might of that which enduresE
The holy heaven of willF
I kindle a flame like a torrentG
To rush from star to starH
Your hair as a comet s horrentG
Ye shall see things as they areH
I lift the mask of matterI
I open the heart of manJ
For I am of force to shatterI
The cast that hideth PanJ
Your loves shall lap up slaughterI
And dabbled with roses of bloodG
Each desperate darling daughterI
Shall swim in the fervid floodG
I bring ye laughter and tearsK
The kisses that foam and bleedG
The joys of a million yearsL
The flowers that bear no seedG
My life is bitter and sterileC
Its flame is a wandering starH
Ye shall pass in pleasure and perilC
Across the mystic barH
That is set for wrath and weepingM
Against the children of earthN
But ye in singing and sleepingM
Shall pass in measure and mirthN
I lift my wand and wave youO
Through hill to hill of delightG
My rosy rivers lave youO
In innermost lustral lightG
I lead you lord of the mazeP
In the darkness free of the sunB
In spite of the spite that is day sQ
We are wed we are wild we are oneB
-
At Shigar BaltistanB
