Sonnet X Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDEAFGHIGFA splendor flamelike born to be pursued | A |
With palms extent for amorous charity | B |
And eyes incensed with love for all they see | B |
A wonder more to be adored than wooed | A |
On whom the grace of conscious womanhood | C |
Adorning every little thing she does | D |
Sits like enchantment making glorious | E |
A careless pose a casual attitude | A |
Around her lovely shoulders mantle wise | F |
Hath come the realm of those old fabulous queens | G |
Whose storied loves are Art's rich heritage | H |
To keep alive in this our latter age | I |
That force that moving through sweet Beauty's means | G |
Lifts up Man's soul to towering enterprise | F |
