Sonnet Vi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEFGHIGHI

Give me the treble of thy horns and hoofsA
The ponderous undertones of 'bus and tramB
A garret and a glimpse across the roofsC
Of clouds blown eastward over Notre DameD
The glad eyed streets and radiant gatheringsE
Where I drank deep the bliss of being youngF
The strife and sweet potential flux of thingsE
I sought Youth's dream of happiness amongF
It walks here aureoled with the city lightG
Forever through the myriad featured massH
Flaunting not far its fugitive embraceI
Heard sometimes in a song across the nightG
Caught in a perfume from the crowds that passH
And when love yields to love seen face to faceI
