Sonnet 10 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDCEFFEGH

I have sought Happiness but it has beenA
A lovely rainbow baffling all pursuitB
And tasted Pleasure but it was a fruitB
More fair of outward hue than sweet withinA
Renouncing both a flake in the fermentC
Of battling hosts that conquer or recoilD
There only chastened by fatigue and toilD
I knew what came the nearest to contentC
For there at least my troubled flesh was freeE
From the gadfly Desire that plagued it soF
Discord and Strife were what I used to knowF
Heartaches deception murderous jealousyE
By War transported far from all of theseG
Amid the clash of arms I was at peaceH
