Sonnet 02 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAACDCEFFGHHG

Not that I always struck the proper meanA
Of what mankind must give for what they gainB
But when I think of those whom dull routineA
And the pursuit of cheerless toil enchainA
Who from their desk chairs seeing a summer cloudC
Race through blue heaven on its joyful courseD
Sigh sometimes for a life less cramped and bowedC
I think I might have done a great deal worseE
For I have ever gone untied and freeF
The stars and my high thoughts for companyF
Wet with the salt spray and the mountain showersG
I have had the sense of space and amplitudeH
And love in many places silver shoedH
Has come and scattered all my path with flowersG
